CV
Barbara Černič Mali, senior research associate, has been employed at the Urban Planning Institute of RS since 1986. Her specialization areas include the challenges of demographic change (policy adaptation, innovative approaches), housing studies (alternative forms of housing care for the elderly, new ways of providing services of general interest) and spatial and economic revitalization of cities or their degraded areas. She leads project groups and participates in several EU funded projects (PlurAlps, SPHERA, DEMOCHANGE, RESOURCE, COBRAMAN, REGALP, RESTATE) and participates in national research projects. She is a co-editor and / or author of chapters in scientific publications and journals prepared based on the results of international projects. She has organized in Slovenia several international events, especially international conferences for various associations such as ENHR (1997; 2006), IFHP (2003), for the Network of Spatial Research Institutions and CEE (1998) and for ministries and final conferences of international projects that she led at the Institute.
