CV
Barbara Mušič is an architect, urban planner and researcher at the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, where she has been working since 2007. She is involved in research, development and applied projects at the local, national and international levels, and has experience in project management and coordination.
Her work focuses on strategic spatial planning, urban regeneration, energy efficiency, climate change adaptation and the sustainable development of cities and settlements. She contributes to the preparation of expert studies, guidelines and policy recommendations, supporting the transfer of research findings into planning practice.
She has also gained valuable experience in local government through her work with the Municipality of Ivančna Gorica and as a member of the Executive Board of the Slovenian Association of Spatial Planners.
In recent years, she has been actively involved in European research and innovation projects addressing urban climate resilience, sustainable urban development and energy transition, fostering collaboration between the research, professional and policy-making communities in developing solutions for the future of cities and settlements.
