Cross-fertilisation in action: Be Ready & CICADA4CE
The Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (UIRS) and the City of Kranj brought together partners, experts and cities to exchange experiences in the field of climate change adaptation.
The event connected citizen engagement and ecosystem-based approaches with urban resilience planning, particularly in relation to urban heat islands, demonstrating how collaboration between projects can contribute to more effective implementation of concrete solutions on the ground.
A visit to the pilot actions in Kranj provided a practical insight into how cities can implement people-centred climate adaptation and mitigation measures.
