Meeting with partners from the CICADA4CE project
On 10–11 June 2026, we welcomed partners from the CICADA4CE project to the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (UIRS) in Ljubljana.
Over two days, the meeting brought together project partners to exchange knowledge, align on progress, and further advance ecosystem- and community-based approaches to climate change adaptation.
Day 1 in Ljubljana (Wednesday, 10 June 2026) focused on:
- updates on pilot actions across cities and schools
- progress on the project platform and knowledge transfer
- lessons learned and next steps
- study tour showcasing Ljubljana’s approach to climate adaptation along the Ljubljanica River and through the city centre
Day 2 (Thursday, 11 June 2026) continued in Kranj, where the City of Kranj—one of the project’s pilot partners—hosted us for a meeting and site visit to the pilot area.
The visit enabled valuable cross-fertilisation with related projects UrbioBauhaus and BeReady, providing practical insights into local climate adaptation efforts.
A big thank you to all partners for the inspiring discussions, strong collaboration, and positive energy—and special thanks to the City of Kranj for hosting the pilot visit.
