About project:
The project continues previous activities to improve the integration of spatial and transport planning. In the field of transport planning, a change in the planning paradigm is taking place, which shifts the main emphasis and objectives from ensuring good conditions for mobility to a broader understanding of ensuring accessibility. The project will define what this change means for spatial planning, with a special focus on three aspects of accessibility: spatial proximity, physical mobility and digital connectivity. The project will be implemented in two thematic phases. The first phase will focus on elements of planning for accessibility for residents, while the second phase will focus on elements of planning for public space.
The main objective of the project is to improve the understanding of what the change in the transport planning paradigm brings to spatial planning and how spatial planning tools can support these changes.
