The Regional SUMP establishes the missing intermediate level between local and national transport planning and enables coordinated cooperation among all key stakeholders within the region. The project will connect municipalities, regional institutions, and other actors in jointly addressing development challenges that go beyond municipal boundaries, providing a solid foundation for long-term, strategic, and effective transport planning and management. At the same time, the Regional SUMP will enable the upgrade of existing municipal projects and strengthen the influence on the development of transport systems that are essential for the sustainable development of the entire region.
